    Uganda Christian Institute to break Teso’s education Chain

    Atleast two hundred students from Teso are expected to benefit from full Education scholarships from Uganda Christian institute for professional Development Lira.

    The pronouncement has been made by John Bosco Ogwal the principal of UCI – Lira who informed the public that it’s a golden opportunity for the people of Teso as they shift into a new face of Education Error.

    The program dubbed total scholarship opportunity for Teso Region will take on student per Sub County or one student per division at the City level.

    The lucky, one student a boy or girl will be identified by the respective local councils’ LC.1 chairpersons, the LC3 chairpersons through the district chairpersons to benefit from the scholarship intake starting on 4th September 2023.

    He adds that the Institute will cover all the school tuition, meals and accommodation but the students only pay functional fees amounting to three hundred thousand.

    They will undertake courses from diploma and certificate courses including National certificate in crop production and management, National certificate and diploma in animal health, National certificate and Diploma business administration among others and each course takes two years.

    Uganda Christian Institute for professional Development is located in Lira City, Boroboro West ward, Opera cell just 5 kilometers of Soroti road in Lira City Centre.

    Ogwal reiterated their commitment as an ideal institution to collaborate with the leadership of Teso as far as development is concerned, he said he has interacted with all the district chairpersons of the region in rolling this exercise amicably.

    In the related development Ogwal who has come through as an educationist and a member of UNCHE has challenged other institutions that have not full registered and classified with national council of higher education to do so as quick as possible to avoid future uncertainties.
