Kuluabura Parish: NRM village chairpersons from Kuluabura Parish in Minakulu Sub County convened today in a strategic meeting organized by Mr. Okullu Gerald, the NRM Chairman of Kuluabura Parish. The meeting addressed the divisive nature and high costs associated with primary elections within the party, identifying these as significant issues that weaken the party’s flag bearers and make them more vulnerable to opposition challenges.
The chairpersons agreed that the competitive and financially burdensome primary elections often lead to internal divisions, which ultimately diminish the party’s overall strength and electoral prospects. To mitigate these issues, they resolved to make primary elections unnecessary for the upcoming elections next year.
In a unanimous decision, the chairpersons decided to endorse Ogwang Obura as their unopposed candidate, aiming to present a united front against contenders from other parties. This move is intended to consolidate the party’s resources and focus on external challenges rather than internal conflicts, thereby enhancing their chances of electoral success.
Mr. Okullu Gerald emphasized the importance of unity and strategic planning, urging all party members to support this resolution for the greater good of the NRM. By rallying behind a single candidate, the party aims to bolster its strength and cohesion, ensuring a more formidable presence in the upcoming elections.
The meeting concluded with a renewed sense of purpose and commitment to overcoming electoral challenges through solidarity and decisive action
