Key figures from the National Resistance Movement (NRM) and other dignitaries have assembled at the NRM headquarters in Nakasero to honor the life and service of Hon. Simon Peter Aleper, the NRM Vice Chairman for Karamoja Region.
Among the distinguished attendees are the Speaker of Parliament, Rt. Hon. Anita Annet Among; the NRM 1st National Vice Chairperson, Alhajji Moses Kigongo; the First Deputy Prime Minister and NRM 2nd Vice Chairperson Female, Rt. Hon. Rebecca Alitwala Kadaga; various Ministers; members of the Party Central Executive Committee (CEC); secretariat leadership; and Members of Parliament.
H.E. President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni, who serves as the NRM National Chairman, arrived at the NRM headquarters this morning to pay tribute to the late Hon. Aleper. Upon his arrival, President Museveni laid a wreath on the casket bearing Aleper’s body and recorded his condolences in the sympathy book.
In his tribute, President Museveni acknowledged the significant contributions of Hon. Aleper to the NRM and the Karamoja Region, highlighting his dedication and service.
