Yesterday 07/August/2024, the aspiring mayor of Soroti city, Francis Esudu Obwonyo, took a break from his campaign to lead a critical technical visit to Soroti Fruit Factory, known as TEJU Factory.
Demonstrating his commitment to regional development, he guided a team of skilled engineers in assessing the factory’s deteriorating structural components and conducting a reconnaissance survey for the design of a new warehouse.
The team included Hon. Esudu Francis Obwonyo (Draftsman), Eng. Okello Isaac (Structural Engineer), and Eng. Eonya Julius Elolu (Construction Technician).
Each member brought valuable expertise to the task, ensuring a thorough evaluation of the factory’s current condition and laying the groundwork for its future expansion.
This initiative underscores the aspiring mayor’s proactive approach to addressing key infrastructural challenges in the region.
By prioritizing this assessment, he aims to ensure that Soroti Fruit Factory continues to play a vital role in the local agro-industrial sector.
