President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni, the Commander in Chief of the Armed Forces, has promoted seven senior police officers to the rank of Assistant Inspector General of Police (AIGP). This move aims to strengthen leadership within the Uganda Police Force.
The officers promoted are:
– SCP Bamunoba Ubaldo
– SCP Baryamwisaki Felix
– SCP Kafeero Moses
– SCP Kataratambi Charles
– SCP Mwesigwa Frank
– SCP Namutebi Hadijah
– SCP Wasswa David
Each officer has been recognized for their exceptional service and significant contributions to the force.
The Uganda Police Force, through a press release signed by ACP R. Kituuma, the Acting Police Spokesperson, congratulated the newly promoted AIGPs, highlighting their promotions as well-deserved. The force expressed confidence that the elevation of these officers will enhance its operational capabilities and leadership effectiveness.
These promotions are seen as a reflection of the government’s trust in the Uganda Police Force and its ongoing commitment to strengthening the institution.
