Resident City Commissioner (RCC) of Soroti City, Peter Pex Paak, launched the Parish Development Model (PDM) in Amen A and Nakatunya Wards. The Parish Development Committees thanked the government for supporting their communities.
Eyabu Paul, the Division Commercial Officer, urged beneficiaries to avoid misusing the funds and to pursue other income-generating activities. He warned against being misled by fake pastors.
RCC Paak pointed out past issues like corruption and nepotism in similar programs and encouraged beneficiaries to use the PDM funds properly to fight poverty. The government has long tackled challenges like illiteracy, disease, and poverty through initiatives such as UPE, USE, and Emyooga.
By using PDM responsibly, beneficiaries can ensure it leads to real change in their communities.
