Katakwi, Uganda – In a collaborative effort, Katakwi Students Development Association, local leadership, and the church have launched a comprehensive youth empowerment program targeting all secondary schools in Katakwi district.
The initiative, unveiled at Katakwi High School, aims to combat misbehavior and moral decay among students. It provides:
– Mentorship sessions with trained professionals
– Educational workshops on drug abuse prevention
– Open dialogue forums for concerns
– Value-based training for positive life choices
The program is set to benefit over 5,000 students across different schools in the district.
Program Coordinator, Onyi Daniel, in his remarks emphasized the importance of empowering youth for a brighter future.
Chairman LCV Geoffrey Omolo recognized the critical role youth play in shaping our future.
“This program is a proactive step towards nurturing responsible, respectful members of society.”said Omolo
Omolo adds that the partnership between Katakwi Students Development Association, local leadership, and the church demonstrates their collective commitment to Uganda’s future.
Local educators and parents also praised the initiative. They thanked the vision and commitment to empowering of the youth
