The National Organizing Committee (NOC), led by Prof. Francis Omaswa, alongside deputy chairs Hon. Captain Mike Mukula and Hon. Mary Karoro Okurut, has confirmed that the official burial for Hon. Francis Onapito Ekomoloit will take place on Saturday, November 30th, 2024. The government has accorded him an official funeral to honor his legacy and contributions to the nation.
Hon. Onapito’s body is currently being preserved at Mulago National Referral Hospital for proper management. In consultation with his family, it was decided that the burial would take place at the end of November to allow ample time for the construction of a tomb, in line with his wishes.
