Today, the 2nd of October 2024, Commissioner Osborn Geoffrey Ocheng, known for his no-nonsense approach, officially took charge of the Office of the President in Amuru amid thunderous jubilation and ululation.
The highly anticipated handover ceremony saw the local populace eagerly welcome Ocheng, having already heard of his reputation for action and swift decision-making. His predecessor, Commissioner George Abdul, is now tasked with representing the President in Otuke District.
In his first address to the press, Ocheng made it clear that his focus is on service to both the President and the people, stating firmly, “No more fun and jokes—it’s time to serve.”
