Kaberamaido– Police in Kaberamaido Central police station are holding a Man aged 28 years over suspected murder of 21 years old woman carrying 09 months pregnancy.
Nicholas Ongom a resident of Okeratok village, Kaberamaido parish, Kaberamaido sub county in Kaberamaido district, was on Thursday morning arrested by the Police with the assistance of community members following the death of winnie Aculo, a resident of the same locality.
The Police, community members and local al leaders mounted a search after the suspicious disappearance of the deceased her from home on Sunday, later her lifeless body was found lying in a nearby bush next to the home of Ongom.
Police picked the remains and rushed to Kaberamaido general Hospital mortuary for postmortem to ascertain the murder claims.

“My wife wife was expectant of giving birth within this week, unfortunately she met her death before sharing the happiness of receiving a baby with me. i am so saddened to have lost both the wife and the dear baby”, he spoke with a lot of grieve.
Francis Ecolu the Kaberamaido Sub – county chairperson warned the community over taking law into their hands as he condemned the gruesome murder of his electorate Winnie Aculo blaming it on the idle youths who have resorted to drug abuse in their society.
“there are a lot of idle youths in my sub – county who think that consuming drugs like marijuana is their daily way of life. such unscrupulous actions are a resultant outcome of the evil minded groups”, Ecolu lamented.
He therefore cautioned his community members to hike vigilance of any suspicious individuals and actions in aimed at derailing peace and security in their territories.
SP David Otabong the Kaberamaido District Police Commander confirmed the arrest of Ongom who is currently under their detention to help police in currying out thorough investigation.
“Our team of detectives have already visited the scene of crime and documentation has been curried out, we shall continue making interrogations with the suspect to dig out more information and probably disclose other parties since the deceased was found lifeless next to his home.I therefore caution the public over taking law into their hands because the law will not spear any one ,” he told this website.
He also disclosed that murder cases are increasingly being recorded in Kaberamaido district prone to domestic violence, amongst other crimes.
