Former Minister Henry Kyemba has succumbed to diabates – related complications aged 84, a family member disclosed this website.
Mr. Christopher Kagwa, a nephew to the late, says Kyemba passed on Wednesday evening in Namugongo where he has been residing under the management of his eldest daughter Ms. Susan Kyemba.
According to Kyemba, Mzee has had a lifetime diabatic problem which has been his major complication, and that is why he has not been visible to the public.
Kyemba held several high positions, including Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Culture (1972), Minister of health during President Idi Amin’s regime, Principle Private Secretary to President Milton Obote and State Minister for Animal Husbandry in the early years of the ruling National Resistance Movement (NRM) regime among other top positions.
