Kaberamaido– St.Thomas Girls Secondary school has received 20 computers from Uganda communications commission to boost the ICT skills.
While receiving the set of 20 computers at St.Thomas Girls Secondary school,the headteacher Mr.Patrick Edyelu glorifies Uganda communications commission,through the Ministry of Education and Sports and the government of Uganda for supporting St.Thomas Girls Secondary school being one of the best single sex schools in the region.
He then said that the computers will be of help to the girl child education through ICT to empower them with skills and knowledge.
According to Mr.Emmanuel Ojos the ICT teacher at St.Thomas Girls Secondary school, at first the school had 23 computers which were earlier brought by the education Ministry threes years ago, however, the addition of 20 new computers by Uganda communication commission shall now incapacitate them as teachers to ease the learning process.
” Our computer laboratory is now fairly equipped, students will no longer struggle to share computers during lesson time.” he said.
Apecho mercy one of the students, she is grateful to Uganda communication commission for the 20 sets of computers given to their school, she also applauds the government of Uganda, especially for promoting girl child education.
