A section of famous NRM leaders in Soroti City have backed the Soroti City woman member of Parliament in her project of rehabilitating the Soroti City Children’s Park.
The NRM delegation led by Mr. Shaban Ali, the head of Mobilization in the office of the NRM National Chairman, and John Junior Okwii Ekutelek, the Soroti City Youth Councilor all took part in the resource mobilization ceremony held at Pioneer Primary School on Saturday 18th November 2023.
According to Joan Alobo, the Children’s Park will be the first of its kind and will create a favorable environment for children’s healthy development.
Inside the facility’s design are the drinking fountain and Wifi for internet access amongst other amenities.
Shaban Ali, the NRM’s diehard, expressed his gratitude to Alobo for her sparkling performance in delivering services to the people of Soroti City.
“I am supporting Joan Alobo not because I am leaning to the FDC Party, I am deeply in love with her services and I know that she has not wasted time during her being in Parliament,” he said.
Adding: “This Children’s Park shall not only benefit the supporters of FDC but the entire community of Soroti and Teso at large.”
John Junior Okwii Ekutelek urged the community of Soroti City to continue supporting Alobo during her time of service so that she can sufficiently achieve her manifesto.
There was excitement when the former aspirant for Soroti city East MP. Moses Atan Okia appeared on stage with a white goat where Shaban and other NRM carders staked at Ushs 600,000.
The Fundraising event was grazed by the FDC top leaders who included Patrick Amuriat Oboi, Nandala Mafabi and Geoffrey Ekanya amongst other legislators who took part.
