Ponzio Imaga Waga a businessman and an elder in Kitua village, Oniba Parish, Drambu Sub-county, Maracha East constituency in Maracha District was on Tuesday 16-1-2024 was laid to rest after battling pneumonia, diabetes and hypertension for many years.
Born on 12-September-1925, to Levira Omia Atuzuyo as his mother and Mr Waga as the father, the deceased had 16 wives inclusive of those who weren’t formally married.
Oniba primary school headteacher Mr Afema Gule Jackson who was requested to give a welcome remark for allowing the school compound to host the funeral ceremony, used this occasion to criticize Maracha District Officials for segregatively supporting and attending funerals of people who die in the district.

DLC Councilor and secretary for security in Maracha district council, Hon Waga Charles who is also the second born to the deceased, described his father as a social and God fearing person in the society

Maracha District CAO Patrick Olila is optimistic that, the deceased must have contributed immensely in the society which has now attracted large number of mourners at his burial.
