Soroti City West, March 3, 2024 – Today marked a significant turn of events for Agora Catholic Church in Soroti City West as Mr Echodu Calvin, the flag bearer for Soroti West Division, made a surprise appearance alongside fellow aspirant Mr Edopu Edepu Peter, vying for MP in Dakabela County.
Mr. Echodu Calvin, amidst his bid for political office, made a heartfelt commitment to support Agora Catholic Church in completing the extension of the priest’s residence, promising 70 colored iron sheets, timber for roofing, and cement within the coming days. His pledge elicited jubilant celebrations among the church faithful, who viewed his promise as a remarkable gesture of goodwill.
The atmosphere in Agora Catholic Church was electrifying as Mr Echodu Calvin addressed the congregation, expressing his dedication to uplift the community. He emphasized his intent to empower women and youth groups in Agora Ward, aiming to alleviate poverty and foster socio-economic development within the locality.
