The banking services at Equity bank Soroti Branch have resumed says the management.
In a statement released by the management on the bank’s official social media accounts, the bank gad a distress incident on Tuesday morning where armed persons attempted to gain access into the banking hall.
The management further confirm that no lives were damaged or lost during the incident.
Police are currently holding two security guards from SGA Company to aid their investigations. However, more security alerts have been issued by East Kyoga Police on the rising insecurity in Soroti City.
The operation was initiated following reports of a group of thieves managing to infiltrate the premises of Equity Bank, sending shock-waves through the usually tranquil city.
