- Panic as Patrick Ogwang Obura Launches Political Comeback for Member of Parliament Oyam South Constituency (MP) Race in 2026-2031
Ogwang Obura, a seasoned politician and dedicated advocate for the people of Oyam South, is set to carry the torch of his constituents’ interests to the Parliament of Uganda in the upcoming legislative session (2026-2031).
With extensive experience in grassroots mobilization and commitment to the welfare of his community, Ogwang Obura is well-positioned to effectively represent the voices and concerns of Oyam South in the national legislative body.
In an interview with our reporter on Saturday, Ogwang Obura narrated his plans for massive mobilization to join the 12th Parliament. He emphasized his resilience, stating, “Come rain or shine, this time the people of Oyam South know what happened to me in 2017-2026 when my votes were hijacked.”
“I have dedicated myself to repairing several boreholes, installing culverts, and improving poor road networks in rural areas comprising greater Minakulu sub-county and town council, Myene sub-county, greater Kamdini sub-county and town council, Aber sub-county, greater Loro sub-county, and Loro town council. This time, I am on my formula together with the Wananchi to get to Parliament without anybody’s interference,” he added.
Ogwang Obura’s legislative agenda is expected to focus on key areas such as enhancing access to quality education and healthcare, promoting economic empowerment and entrepreneurship, improving infrastructure development and road networks, and advocating for social justice and human rights.
As a champion of his people’s interests, Ogwang Obura is poised to make a significant impact in the Parliament of Uganda, ensuring that the voices of Oyam South are heard loud and clear.
