The top civil society activists in Teso Sub – Region have broken silence over the wavering sanctions trapped onto the speaker of parliament Anet Anita Among’s name and other top government officials by the UK Government.
This followed by President Museveni’s uproar onto corruption claims has attracted the nation’s attention as prevailing action combs the entire parliament.
Anita who has been parading wealth and laxity has been put to task by president citizens and concerned citizens to account for her sources of uncontrollable wealth.
Sources surrounding the speaker have disclosed how the speaker is currently panicking and discomforted with the social media prevalence.
Unlike in the past when people of Teso ganged behind Captain Mike Mukula the former State Minister for Health during his arrest over corruption claims on GAVI – funds, such mobilizations have been sparsely noted in the districts of Bukedea and Kumi as Anita’s sympathizers ran to the streets with manila papers of sympathy messages.

Mr. Benson Ekuwe the Executive Director Public Affairs Centre –PAC Uganda said that no one should act above the constitution.
“By sparing the Speaker Anita Among, President Museveni will instead highlight his weakest point and yet this is the time he is supposed to be more unsparingly radicle to the corrupt to keep his back clean as he walks away from power”, Ekuwe said.
Adding, “the speaker Anita Among should bear her own cross and either be hanged for her individual actions and this is what we are all waiting to witness”.
Mr. Santos Labeja an elder from Soroti City said that disciplining the speaker Anita Among should be one of the top assignments for president Museveni to curry out.
