24-year-old Alepo Abraham has officially joined the race for Eastern Youth Member of Parliament, shaking up the political landscape in the region. This young and ambitious leader from Katatwi is confident that his fresh perspective, coupled with his impressive track record of leadership and community service, will propel him to victory against seasoned opponents.
Alepo’s journey to politics began during his school days at Soroti Beacon of Hope College, where he served as Speaker of the school and later emerged as the best speaker in the debating club for the entire Teso region. His leadership skills and passion for public service only grew stronger as he pursued a career in medicine, becoming a guild president at Kaabong College of Nursing and Midwifery. His impressive tenure earned him an award as the best guild president in the Karamoja region and across all institutions in Uganda, with an overwhelming 80% win in the elections.
Alepo’s vision for youth empowerment is at the forefront of his campaign. He aims to build self-worth, confidence, and responsibility in young people, equipping them with skills to participate actively in society. His objectives include skill development, mentorship, leadership opportunities, advocacy, and promoting health and well-being.
As a medical worker and a product of the Teso region, Alepo is deeply rooted in his community and understands the challenges faced by his people. His approachability, simplicity, and willingness to listen make him an attractive candidate for those seeking a fresh and authentic voice in politics.
While Alepo may be new to the political scene, he is undaunted by the prospect of facing seasoned opponents. His faith in his abilities, coupled with his passion for service, drives him to push forward. As he embarks on this new chapter, Alepo invites his community to join him on this journey, promising to be a voice for the voiceless and a champion for the empowerment of young people.
Will Alepo Abraham’s youthful energy and vision be enough to propel him to victory as the next Eastern Youth MP? Only time will tell, but one thing is certain – this rising star is one to watch in the world of politics.
