Following the road – Map recently issued by the Electoral commission for the 2026 general election, pressure has began pushing a number of public servants out off their offices as they get set for the political storm ahead.
Several people have since expressed interest in political seats, including George Abdul, the Apac Resident District Commissioner.
A source within NRM leadership has revealed that Mr. Abdul is targeting to displace the legislator Jonathan Odur from Parliament in the coming polls.

Information reaching this website unfolds that Abdul has in recent weeks been traversing several villages including churches in Erute South county to conduct consultations for his political bid.
Recently he visited St. Joseph catholic chapel Ayamo in Barr sub-county and donated 10 bags of cement to facilitate the ongoing construction. He also visited the Holy Rosary Eucharist center Gone in Agali sub-county where he made a similar donation.
In addition, the RDC Abdul has further embarked on various youth engagement activities including sports, donating balls to youth in Awiodyeke sub-county, in an exclusive interview, Abdul recently said that his recent visits was to mobilize communities to engage in government’s programs especially the Parish Development Model as he also gathers political strength for the contention.
He will have to battle with the former Housing Minister Sam Engola in the NRM party primaries.
In 2016 an attempt by RDC Abdul to become the northern Uganda youth legislators failed since then he has been conducting mobilization for the NRM party in the office of the National Chairman until his deployment in Apac district as Resident District Commissioner.
