Mr. Munu David, the Acting Resident District Commissioner (ARDC) for Kole District, has urged religious leaders in Kole to take an active role in promoting government programs like Emyooga and the Parish Development Model (PDM). Munu emphasized that religious leaders should set an example for their communities by establishing enterprises, moving away from the perception of religious leaders as passive figures.
Speaking at a distribution event for 510 iron sheets, donated by His Excellency President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni to Aboke Achdecomary and Abeli Girls Senior School, Munu praised the efforts of religious leaders in instilling moral values in society, highlighting this as a crucial aspect of community building. He encouraged them to involve their congregations, especially women, in government initiatives aimed at improving livelihoods and economic empowerment.
Munu also underscored the need for integrating religious leaders into key government programs to facilitate more effective mobilization and outreach. He is committed to driving government program awareness and engagement within the Lango region.
