Police in Kampala are handling a case of an attempted murder in which a Kyambogo University lecturer, Prof. Willy Okullu is strongly accused of trying to kill his stepsister Sandra Auma, a lawyer in Kampala. According to Police investigations, Prof. Okullu, who is also the Prime Minister of Lango Cultural Institution and the Awitong of Arak Okwero Yito, hired a cousin identified as Wicham Olee to track, lure and kill Auma at a fee of UGX200M. The second runner-up in the recently concluded NRM primary elections for the National Female Youth Member of Parliament, Mercy Kanyesigye has petitioned the party’s National Chairman, President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni to intervene and investigate the rampant malpractices that characterized the poll.
