Greetings to the Resilient People of Lamwo and Uganda

As your Resident District Commissioner (RDC), it is my honor to inform you about the upcoming population census, scheduled to commence this Friday. The census is a vital exercise that holds immense importance for our community and our nation as a whole.

Here are the key reasons for the census:

    – Resource Allocation: Helps in effective allocation of resources.
    – Policy Planning: Provides insights for policymaking and development strategies.
    – Socioeconomic Development: Assists in assessing socioeconomic status and implementing poverty alleviation programs.
    – Demographic Analysis: Allows for understanding demographic trends and planning for the future.
    – Legal and Electoral Purposes: Forms the basis for electoral planning and legal frameworks.

Your participation in the census is not just a civic duty but also a contribution to the development and progress of our beloved district and country. I urge each and every one of you to cooperate fully with the census enumerators and provide accurate information.

Let us come together as a community to ensure a successful and fruitful census exercise. Together, we can build a brighter future for Lamwo and Uganda.

Thank you for your attention, and let us embrace this opportunity to make our voices heard through the census.

    Warm regards,

    Oceng Geoffrey Osborn
    Resident District Commissioner,
    Lamwo
