A disbursement ceremony held at the Children’s Park in Soroti City West Division, benefiting residents of Oderaia and Majengo ward. The event was officiated by Deputy RCC Soroti City West Division, Mr. Chemutai James Small, alongside Assistant RCCs Enyalu Julius, Oroma Musa, Omoding Stephen Ewupa, Okiring Sam, and Ocen Hassan, among other city stakeholders.
In light of the recent school openings and associated fees, the DRCC warned against misusing the PDM funds for school expenses ¹. This caution highlights the importance of utilizing these funds for their intended purpose.
The Parish Development Model (PDM) and Emyooga initiatives have been entrusted to the community at the parish level, differing from previous programs that saw funds return to the central authority ¹. This shift aims to empower local communities and promote grassroots development.
The National Resistance Movement (NRM) has been instrumental in Uganda’s transformation, championing socio-economic growth, democracy, and regional peace ² ³. Under President Yoweri Museveni’s leadership, the country has witnessed significant progress in various sectors, including education, healthcare, and infrastructure development.
