In a spiritually uplifting four-day event, the Bishop of Lira Diocese, Rt. Rev. Santus Linos Wanok, led a pastoral visit to Aber Catholic Parish. The visit, commencing on Sunday, saw over 500 Christians receive the Sacrament of Confirmation, marking a momentous occasion for the parish community.
Accompanying Bishop Wanok were Hon. Kenneth Ayuku, Deacon Richard Ebong, Jackie Ochan, and Alex Okech. Distinguished guests included Dila Benson, the LCV of Oyam District. The pastoral leadership of Aber Catholic Parish was prominently represented by Rev. Fr. Dr. Sam Okori, Rev. Fr. Moses Owani, Rev. Fr. Leo Ogwang, Rev. Fr. Stephen Ocen, and Rev. Sem. Ambrose Adupa. Fr. Moses Owani, the parish priest, and Fr. John Baptist Aligi, Chaplain of Aber Hospital, played key roles in organizing the visit.
Bishop Wanok delivered a powerful message emphasizing the critical pillars of health, education, spirituality, and financial empowerment. He urged the community to embrace these values for holistic development and a prosperous future.
Inspired by the Bishop’s message, community member Ogwang Obura expressed his dedication to these principles, vowing to support initiatives that promote health, education, and financial stability within the parish.
