Katakwi District– Clan leaders from Usuk County are currently gathered at Awojabule Primary School for an interactive meeting with leaders from the Iteso Cultural Union (ICU).
The meeting brings together representatives from various clans to discuss pressing challenges regarding governance, unity among the Iteso people, and resource mobilization for the construction of a cultural palace.
Chaired by Mr. Andrew Ocole, the Prime Minister of ICU, the event has seen participation from clan leaders, elders, women, youth, local leaders, and security personnel.
The meeting aims to foster collaboration and address issues that affect the clans directly.
Additionally, it is anticipated that His Royal Highness Papa Emorimor Paul Sande Etomeileng Emolot will arrive to conclude the meeting, adding an important cultural perspective to the discussions.
The assembly is expected to facilitate dialogue and generate actionable solutions that will benefit the community and strengthen the Iteso identity.
