In a remarkable move to dedication and community spirit, Mr Ejoku, a 42-year-old married resident of Asamuk Village in Mukura Parish, Soroti District, is making waves as the first LC5 hailing from Asuret since the iteso let Abisinia.With a humble beginning in education at Pioneer Primary School and Soroti Islamic, and later advancing his studies at Teso college, Soroti Central, Ejoku embodies a down-to-earth approach.
Known for his unwavering commitment to public service, Ejoku has been a driving force behind various community initiatives. From his role as President of the Teso Youth Development Association to serving as Chairman Audit for the Iteso Kampala United Association, he has also consistently gone above and beyond to advance the interests of his constituents.
Ejoku’s dedication to service was exemplified during times of crisis, such as his leadership in organizing food collection efforts during insurgency in the early 2000 . Now, as he steps into the role of LC5, he vows to address the pressing issues of poor service delivery that afflict Soroti.
Fully aligned with the principles of the NRM, Ejoku pledges to uphold its four pillars: patriotism, pan-Africanism, democracy and social economic transformation. For him, leadership is not merely a job but a sacred duty to serve the people.
Ejoku’s foundation has already made significant strides in community development. From constructing a much-needed toilet in Omugenya Primary School Soroti district to engaging youth in sports activities like football and basketball, he is actively shaping a brighter for his district.
In matters of road safety, Ejoku Foundation’s initiatives are saving lives. By implementing zebra crossings and providing safety training and reflector jackets to boda boda riders, he is making roads safer for people from Soroti citu and the District at large.
Furthermore, Ejoku’s philanthropic efforts extend to economic empowerment, as his foundation has donated iron sheets and assisted in the construction of a market, benefiting both vendors and the community at large.
Not confined to secular endeavors alone, Ejoku has also played a significant role in the spiritual life of Soroti, contributing substantially to the construction of several churches in Soroti.
His focus on agriculture and environmental conservation aligns with the sustainable development goals of ensuring prosperity while preserving the natural resources for future generations. Soroti is fortunate to have such a dedicated leader at the helm.
