Kodikdik, Uganda – In a successful operation, Battalion 39, under the command of Colonel Obong Patrick, recovered stolen cows from a raid in Nakiriwoch kraal, Losidok sub county, Kodikdik village, last week.
The cows, belonging to Chairman LC1 Kodikdik, Mr. Koruwas, were returned to their rightful Pokot owners from Namalu.
“We are grateful to Battalion 39 for their tireless efforts in tracking down the thieves and recovering our stolen animals,” said a local resident.
Honorable Betty Chelain Louke was praised for her support to the community until the cows were recovered. Brigadier Allan Kyangungu of Brigade 407 was also commended for his role in the successful recovery.
The operation is seen as a major breakthrough in the fight against cattle rustling in the region.
