Soroti – The Senior Four and Six candidates of Crane High School in Soroti City have been encouraged to place their trust in God and to commit to hard work as they prepare for their upcoming examinations.

This message was particularly emphasized during the candidates’ dedication ceremony, where Rev. Edward Edenu from PAG Pamba served as the guest of honor and preacher at the School’s main hall on October 4, 2025.
Rev. Edenu conveyed to the students that God values the quality of their commitment to learning.

“You will pass in Jesus’ name. I encourage you to never be swayed into examination malpractice but to trust in God. Examination malpractice is the work of the devil,” he stated firmly.
He urged the candidates to dedicate themselves to their studies, explaining that they should not test God by neglecting their reading while expecting to succeed.
“God only reminds you of what you have read,” Rev. Edenu added.

The class teachers of the candidate classes expressed their confidence in their students, with many vowing that better results are on the horizon.
Ms. Acwero Grace, the class teacher for Senior Four, expressed optimism that her students would achieve outstanding results, stating, “Hard work starts now. Parents, this is the time to guide, advise, and encourage our children.”
Ongaria Solomon, the class teacher for Senior Six, encouraged candidates to translate the knowledge they have gained into efforts that will transform their communities.
Ms. Acen Lucy, the deputy headteacher, also took the opportunity to warn candidates against misbehaving during their holidays.

“This is just the beginning of your future,” she advised.
Simon Okwi, the headteacher of Crane High School, expressed gratitude to the parents for raising well-behaved children. He noted that the students’ good discipline will significantly influence their future outcomes.
“We have done, and are still doing, what it takes to ensure students pass their exams. God helps those who help themselves,” Mr. Okwi.
Crane High School currently has 121 candidates in Senior Four and 32 in Senior Six.
The school has made significant academic progress and has also excelled in other disciplines, establishing itself as a center of excellence in the Teso sub-region.
