Wakiso District – The Deputy Head of the RDC Secretariat/ACU, Office of the President, Dr. Sister Akiror Mary Grace, led a landmark mobilization meeting with stakeholders in Busiro South, focusing on enhancing service delivery and strengthening collaboration. Joined by SPA Mobilization Lt Col. (Rtd) Ambako Kibrai, the meeting evaluated the impact of government programs and addressed critical challenges to ensure progress in the region.
Dr. Akiror commended the resilience and cooperation exhibited by Busiro South’s stakeholders despite logistical challenges caused by adverse weather conditions. “Collaboration is key to achieving meaningful results,” she remarked, calling on leaders to maintain and foster unity in addressing issues across sectors such as education, healthcare, and agriculture. She emphasized the RDC Secretariat’s commitment to working with communities to bridge service gaps and drive sustainable solutions.
Lt Col. Kibrai addressed systemic challenges in education, particularly highlighting discrepancies in resource allocation and high surcharges imposed by schools. He reiterated the government’s commitment to providing free public primary and secondary education, emphasizing the importance of accountability from all stakeholders. On healthcare, Kibrai urged medical personnel to adopt clearer communication strategies to reassure patients during stock shortages and prevent frustration.
The meeting also featured Hon. Frederick Nkayi Mbagadhi, in charge of RDCs/RCCs for Kampala and the Metropolitan Area, who praised Busiro South’s RDC for proactive leadership and effective responses to local concerns. “The progress we’ve observed here demonstrates the power of teamwork in driving development,” Hon. Nkayi stated. He also lauded the region’s security teams for maintaining peace and stability, which are crucial for implementing government initiatives.
This mobilization meeting reflected the RDC Secretariat’s unwavering focus on bridging the gap between policy formulation and grassroots execution. Stakeholders departed with a renewed sense of shared responsibility, determined to overcome obstacles and advance service delivery efforts across Busiro South.
