Amudat – Hon. Betty Chelain, the Woman MP for Amudat, continues to solidify her position as the hope and a true advocate for the Pokot community. Known for her down-to-earth nature and commitment to her people, Hon. Chelain’s recent initiatives have further endeared her to the hearts of the Pokot.

“In my quest to serve my people effectively, I have ensured that my district operations are centralized in an office under my direct care and that of my personal assistant,” said Hon. Chelain, emphasizing the importance of efficient coordination in achieving community development goals.

This move has streamlined communication and decision-making processes, ensuring that resources and efforts are efficiently directed towards benefiting the people of Amudat.

Hon. Chelain’s proactive approach has yielded tangible results. During her 2020 campaign, she promised to appoint Pokot individuals to key positions within her office, a commitment she has faithfully honored. “My driver and personal assistant are both from Amudat. This decision was deliberate to demonstrate my dedication to uplifting local talent and fostering trust among my constituents,” she added.
