Stephen Ejoku, CEO of the Ejoku Foundation, showcased his political aspirations alongside Papa Charles Okello, as they engaged with the vibrant Akogo groups in Aputon Village, Gweri County. The duo was serenaded with a welcoming song.
The Akogo men, renowned for their traditional music prowess, effortlessly composed a song to honor Ejoku and Okello, following a memorial service for the late Papa Alex Acheta. The gathering, held on March 30th, 2024, drew hundreds of residents who shared in food, refreshments and so much more.
Ejoku, in his address, emphasized the importance of respecting the rights of widows—a poignant reminder of his commitment to inclusivity and social justice.
Rooted in with Teso heritage, Ejoku cherished traditional foods like ecadoi, emalakany, and ebou. His ongoing consultative meetings have provided insights into the needs of his people, focusing on transparency, infrastructure development, healthcare, and education.
As he sets his sights on the LCV seat for Soroti district, Ejoku’s blend of grassroots engagement and visionary leadership positions him as a rising star poised to serve his community with integrity and dedication.
