Forum for Democratic Change Party have withdrawn the Kiira East Municipality Mp Ssemuju Ibrahim Nganda from the position of Party Chief Whip in Parliament.
The development comes as an implication of the deepening fights between the two parallel factions, those loyal to the Party president Patrick Amuriat Oboi and those bowing to their political god Dr. Kizza Bessigye.
A letter to the speaker of parliament Annet Anita Among dated 07.Aug.2023, Signed by the FDC party secretary general Nathan Nandala Mafabi dismisses the bickering Ibrahim Ssemuju Nganda from the position of the FDC Chief whip in parliament with the immediate appointment of the Member of Parliament Mawokota West constituency Yusuf Nsibamba as his replacement.

“In accordance with section 6 (1), the party hereby appoints Hon. Yusuf Nsibambi as the party Whip of the Forum for Democratic change (FDC) to replace Hon Ssemuju Ibrahim Nganda”, the letter states.
In the recent months, FDC party has been making headlines in Uganda over continuous chaotic incidences that saw several life threats in the Kampal capital and strange attacks on the Journalists who kept a critical eye on the Najjanakumbi drama.

Although claims of the devilish money is said to be setting down the Uganda’s giant opposition party, other political observers say that the matter in the FDC is now seemingly turning into a tribal conflict between the Eastern tribes and Buganda.
However the FDC founder Dr. Kizza Bessigye yesterday addressed the press and misplaced all this claims citing that the confession in FDC is fueled by president Yoweri Kaguta Museveni with a move to tare apart the opposition forces as a protective mechanism of his NRM lifetime party.
