The Police Director of Crime Intelligence, AIGP Gen. Christopher Damulira has handed over 24 cows gifted by President Yoweri Museveni to the Ghetto Youths in Kampala for Christmas and New Year celebrations.
The joyous youths from 12 Ghetto divisions in Kampala, including Lubaga and Nakawa, among others received the cows on the eve of Christmas on Tuesday, December 24, 2024.
During the handover at Kololo in Kampala , Damulira said the Head of State cares about the Ghetto youth, like the rest of the citizens.
“We have a package from H.E the President. He has sent a package to the Ghetto youth in Kampala, Wakiso and Mukono that are organized in 12 divisions,” said Damulira.
He added that this Is not the first time the President is doing it , the Fountain of Honour has been delivering packages and support to youths who work and live in Ghetto areas every Christmas and Idi days .
This is part of a wider package of helping the youths. Last year the president gave them money for the festive celebrations and this year the President was in Mbale last week launching youth saccos. We believe that this program will change and empower these young boys and girls to fight crime by turning them into productive Ugandans. They have leaders and they can guide them and now we see change,” added Damulira.
