Whereas the Teso Sub – region are already on heat to drum and dance for the first Son Muhoozi Kainerugaba on Monday August 15, the ambitious general has excited the UPDF serving officers in Bombo Military barracks after pledging to put ahead their welfare and salaries.
The Senior Presidential Advisor – Special Operations, on Thursday commissioned a multi-billion apartment and transport workshop at the Land Force General Headquarters in Bomb.
The apartments that have been named after the National Resistance Army (NRA) combatant Col Patrick Lumumba, will accommodate over sixteen officers’ families.

Gen Muhoozi announced that Bombo barracks is of historical significance in Uganda and East Africa which was founded in 1906 during the time Europeans in Uganda, and promised to ensure that all barracks in the country are built because no good facility can’t be professional.
He further thanked the President and Commander-in-Chief for his tireless effort in building the army and facilitating it with modern facilities and equipment.

Muhoozi is on Manday expected to Visit Teso Sub – region for a consultative ceremony dubbed (MK TESO BARAZA). In this he seeks to popularize his bid for presidential candidature in the 2026 coming elections.
For three weeks now, the entire Sub –counties in the districts of Teso Sub – region have been busy and occupied with the MK football tournament activities as one of the mobilization strategies amidst the mini – rallies conducted across the region in preparations for his thunderous visit.
The Drama and comedy stars, finest and local artists amongst other entertainment groups are already camped in the Teso’s City of Soroti in final preparations of the first son’s visit.

The chief event organizer also the state minister for Education in charge sports Peter Ogwang says that Teso will be experiencing the first celebration of peace and stability in their land and this come as the greatest achievement of the National Resistance Movement.
“I can confirm to anyone countrywide that Teso Sub – region is very ready and set to receive our great friend the first son, Muhoozi becomes the greatest achievement of president Yoweri Kguta Museveni and he is indeed celebrated as a sign of peace, stability and steady progress. We are expecting a turn up of at least one hundred thousand people at Soroti sports ground where the function shall take place”, he said.
