Mbale– The government of Uganda through the ministry of public service has increased salaries of Parish chiefs and town agents across the country as a way of running parish Development Model program well.
This was revealed by Julius Kapwepwe who represented the National coordinator of parish Development Model in a meeting held at Mbale over the weekend.
According to Kapwepwe, Parish chiefs are receiving additional Shs.100,000 on top of their monthly salary.
He explained that the additional Shs.100,000 is to facilitate the parish chiefs in the implementation of the parish Development Model program currently ongoing countrywide.
Meanwhile, Galabusi warned bank officials, PDM SACCO Leaders and technocrats at Parish levels to desist from extorting any amount of money from beneficiaries saying that the law will catch up with them.
