Hon. Elimu Richard, affectionately known as “The Gweri Yellow Boy,” has been a driving force for positive change in his community. As the Secretary of the Patriotic League of Uganda (PLU) Teso Sub-Region, Elimu has demonstrated unwavering commitment to poverty eradication through innovative programs.
One of his notable initiatives is the piggery project, which provides a sustainable source of income for families, promotes food security, and fosters community development. The project’s self-sustaining design ensures that beneficiaries pass on piglets to other families, creating a ripple effect of economic empowerment.
Elimu’s poverty eradication programs are multifaceted, addressing various community needs. His dedication to creating positive change serves as a model for other leaders to follow. As party chairman in Gweri and Committee Secretary PLU Teso Sub-Region, Elimu has been instrumental in promoting government programs, such as President Museveni’s 4-acre model, Parish Development Model (PDM), and Emyooga.
