Hon. Tony Ayoo, the esteemed MP for Kwania, has extended his heartfelt congratulations to the newly appointed cabinet of the Lango Cultural Foundation under the visionary leadership of His Highness, Won Nyaci Mzee Yosam Odur Ebii. This historic milestone signifies a pivotal moment for the cultural and political renaissance of the Lango community, offering an unprecedented opportunity to unify, rebuild, and propel the region toward progress and harmony.
In his remarks, Hon. Ayoo praised the inclusive and strategic composition of the cabinet, emphasizing its wealth of expertise, experience, knowledge, and integrity. He urged, “The new cabinet must come together and draw programs that will enable the administration of the aging Won Nyaci, His Highness Mzee Yosam Odur Ebii, to quickly recover the lost time and opportunities that would have helped Lango to prosper. As a people, we should now realize that fighting wars of bad politics and ego is very dangerous to the progress of any society.”
Hon. Ayoo highlighted the importance of focusing on unity and development, urging the cabinet to mobilize the Lango people toward embracing high-value production enterprises such as coffee, poultry, Hass avocado, cocoa, cashew nuts, fruits, goats, cattle, and cassava as a food and industrial crop. He stated, “The task is to revive the lost glory by prioritizing intensive farming approaches and drawing programs that unite the Lango people for shared prosperity.”
He also expressed trust in the cabinet’s ability to uphold the rule of law, noting the lessons from the recent court ruling. He said, “The court ruling provided deep insight into the importance of doing things within the confines of the law. The new cabinet must uphold this principle to ensure sustainable progress.”
He also urged the people of Lango to pay close attention to individuals who promote discord within the Lango cultural administration and to strongly denounce such actions. According to him, these individuals often act out of selfish personal interests rather than for the benefit of the community. He emphasized that any such divisive rhetoric should be rejected outright. Leadership within the Lango cultural tradition is open to all qualified individuals, but it must be pursued through proper procedures and in accordance with both the constitution of Lango and the national laws.
Hon. Ayoo lauded His Highness for his focus on innovation, ethics, and integrity, and he called on the Lango community to rally behind the cabinet. “Let us put the past behind us and focus on a shared vision for the unity of the Lango people. Together, we can transform Lango into a beacon of peace, unity, and prosperity,” he concluded.
