The territorial police at Cps Kalaki are investigating a matter of theft of cattle to wit one bull. This took place today the 08th day of July 2024 at around 0500hrs in Awidi village, kadie parish, Otuboi sub county in Kalaki district.
According to Asp. Obukulem Edison, the East Kyoga police spokesperson, it’s alleged that information was received by the DPC Kalaki District, SP Maumbe Jackson from the Officer in charge integrated High way Patrol at Otuboi Town Council where they had Pursued and Intercepted a Vehicle Loaded with one Bull in the Boot, on A bad note, Occupants of Motor Vehicle REG NO. UAQ 787G RAV 4 Black in Colour were able to maneuver their way out and escaped from the scene.Upon getting this information about the escape of the suspects ,
Dpc Kalaki Dispatched a team of police officers led by the OC station Kalaki ASP Bwanika Francis to the Scene. While there, two suspects who had escaped were re arrested by the police officers with the help of the local leaders and the members of the community.
The two suspects were later on identified as Byaruhanga John and Opar George both are male Adults . They were then together with the motor vehicle taken to Cps Kalaki pending inquiries.
Obukulem highlighted that the two were charged with the offence of stealing cattle vide CRB 158/2024 of Cps Kalaki.
