Kotido, Uganda-Open defecation and other pressing issues in Kanawat West Division in Kotido Municipality have prompted the community to take action. During a community baraza today spearheaded by Resident District Commissioner (RDC) Charles Ichogor, residents voiced their concerns and called for the establishment of a police post to enhance security and law enforcement in the area.
The baraza, held in the municipality, was attended by several key stakeholders, including the mayor, town clerk, district engineer, and councillors. They were present to address the community’s concerns and find solutions to the pressing issues. The RDC vowed to combat open defecation and announced plans to arrest parents who fail to keep their children in school. He also urged the community to embrace government programs aimed at improving sanitation and education.
