Kotido, Uganda – Miss Tourism Karamoja first runner-up, Natyang Anastasia, a 23-year-old beauty from the Jie tribe in Kotido District, organized a thanksgiving ceremony at Travellers Corner Bar and Restaurant in Kotido to celebrate her recent achievements.
The event honored her wins in the 2024/2025 pageant, including Miss Popularity, Miss Personality, and Best Creative Attire.
Queen Anastasia expressed her deep gratitude to her supporters, stating, “I wanted to take this opportunity to thank everyone who stood by me during my journey. Your love and encouragement mean the world to me!”
She also acknowledged the unwavering support of Team Jie Kwanza, saying, “President Jie and your team, the small contributions we made brought us closer to winning the crown. As I head for the regionals, I promise to bring the crown home.”
The thanksgiving ceremony was attended by friends, family, and well-wishers who came to congratulate Natyang on her achievements. During the event, Natyang also extended heartfelt thanks to her supportive parents, who stood by her side throughout the journey, and to her sister, Agnes Jesica Lokiru, for spearheading the entire process.
Karamoja will host Miss Tourism crowned queens from regions across the country this year for the unforgettable elimination talent night on the 31st of August at Moroto Resort Hotel.
