Christians in Katakwi District have expressed their heartfelt appreciation for Daniel Mulalu, the Private Secretary to the President responsible for Political Mobilization and Affairs, in recognition of his significant contribution to the recent men’s conference organized by the Soroti Catholic Diocese.
The four-day spiritual gathering, held at St. Joseph Catholic Parish in Ngora from January 6 to January 10, 2025, attracted thousands of men eager to deepen their faith and strengthen their spiritual commitments.
Notably, over 200 men from Ngariam County were able to attend the conference thanks to transportation fully funded by Mulalu, who is also the founder of the charitable organization Kazi Ni Kazi.
Believers from Ngariam County expressed their gratitude for Mulalu’s selfless support.
Local residents such as Alfred Awojan from Lalei Zone, Martine Okwi, and Simon Peter Abwaimo praised Mulalu as a dedicated Christian leader devoted to uplifting his community.
“He has demonstrated a true believer’s heart, tirelessly working to support God’s ministry,” Awojan commented.
John Francis Icana, a resident of Aterai in Akoboi Subcounty, highlighted Mulalu’s crucial role during what could have been a difficult situation for attendees.
“When we were stranded, he ensured we reached Ngora for the conference. His actions show true leadership and a commitment to God’s work,” Icana remarked.
The conference focused on various issues affecting men and families, emphasizing the restoration of love, peace, and harmony in marriages through God’s teachings. Esther Ariko, a resident of Olupe Town Board, expressed optimism that the spiritual renewal experienced would result in positive changes within households.
“The word of God they received will help families combat domestic violence and build stronger bonds,” she stated.
David Choki, Mulalu’s program coordinator in Ngariam County, applauded the men for prioritizing their spiritual growth and urged them to continue participating in such initiatives to strengthen Christianity within families and communities.
In his remarks, Daniel Mulalu encouraged the attendees to remain steadfast in their faith and dedicated to prayer.
He pledged his ongoing support for similar conferences, reinforcing his commitment to God’s work.
“As we journey together in faith, I will continue to provide transportation and any other resources needed to ensure our spiritual growth,” Mulalu promised.
With his philanthropic efforts and dedication to the spiritual and social well-being of the community, Mulalu, who has announced his intention to run for the Ngariam County parliamentary seat in the 2026 elections, is garnering increasing admiration among local residents.
The men’s conference concluded with a renewed sense of hope among the attendees, who returned to their homes inspired to lead by example and promote God’s teachings within their families.
