In a recent video circulating on social media, Senior Presidential Advisor (SPA) Bosmic Otim is seen punching a young man in front of a crowd during his homecoming concert in Kitgum. The incident has sparked outrage, with Kilak South MP Gilbert Olanya issuing a strong warning to the presidential advisor, who has barely made a year since his appointment as SPA Wealth Creation
Hon. Gilbert Olanya has demanded an explanation from the appointing authorities—President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni, CDF Gen. Muhoozi Kainerugaba, and the Minister of Defense—regarding Bosmic Otim’s actions. “Why is Bosmic Otim assaulting Acholi people under the watch of the Special Forces Command (SFC)?” Olanya questioned, expressing his deep concern over the incident.
The MP has threatened to escalate the matter to the Parliament of Uganda, seeking justice for the Acholi people who were allegedly tortured by Bosmic Otim. “All Ugandans must be law-abiding citizens, and no one is above the law,” Olanya asserted, emphasizing the need for accountability and adherence to the rule of law.
The video has garnered widespread condemnation, raising questions about the conduct of officials and the protection of citizens’ rights. As the controversy continues to unfold, the demand for a thorough investigation and appropriate action against Bosmic Otim is gaining momentum.
