The Government Chief Whip and NRM Parliamentary Caucus Chairperson, Hon. Denis Hamson Obua, on Tuesday, December 17, 2024, officially presented the newly elected Kisoro District Woman Representative, Hon. Akifeza Grace Ngabirano, to the NRM Secretariat for the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the ruling party.
The high-powered delegation from Kisoro, led by Hon. Obua, was warmly received at the Secretariat by the Party’s Deputy Secretary General, Rt. Hon. Rose Namayanja Nsereko. In her remarks, Hon. Namayanja congratulated Hon. Akifeza on her electoral victory and formally welcomed her into the NRM fold, emphasizing the party’s openness to leaders dedicated to national progress and unity.
While addressing the gathering, Hon. Akifeza expressed heartfelt gratitude for the opportunity to join the NRM family. “I felt like a lost child who has finally found a home. I sincerely thank the NRM leadership for welcoming me and allowing me to become one of their own,” she said, underscoring her commitment to working alongside the party to serve the people of Kisoro and Uganda at large.
The NRM, as a mass party, continues to strengthen its ranks by engaging like-minded leaders, including independent legislators and members of opposition parties who share its vision for development and stability. Hon. Akifeza’s decision to align with the NRM reflects the party’s ability to foster unity, inclusivity, and collaboration for the greater good of the country.
This latest move further highlights NRM’s commitment to consolidating leadership across Uganda, ensuring that every constituency is adequately represented and supported in the implementation of the party’s transformative agenda.
