Steven Otukei commonly known as Tukei is the current District Youth Councilor of Katakwi District since 2021. He is a Ugandan ,young politician with great ambitions. Otukei previously served as the Sub-county Youth chairperson of Toroma in 2011 where he served diligently till 2016. In 2016, he again contested as the District Youth Council Chairperson of Katakwi and merged winner. In 2021, Otukei contested again for District Youth Councilor and managed to beat his opponent pants down Odicar Moses.
Otukei Steven holds a Degree in supply and procurement, He furthered his studies and today hold a Master’s degree in Business Administration at Kampala International University Kampala-kansanga. Steven as of today is one of the most trusted and most pivotal leaders in Katakwi district.
Steven otukei has been sighted by many as a soft spoken person but very harsh in decision making for his words are not those that are shaken with handouts or envelops as it is in the current day today trend of politics. As of now Otukei is the in charge and overall leader in the ongoing Alupo Cup tournament, a race for football supremacy put in place by Hon Alupo Jessica, the Vice President of Uganda and also the District Woman Member of Parliament of Katakwi. Otukei steven also served as the District head, Office of the National chairman (ONC) where he was assigned to head the 2021 Presidential vote protection team in the district of Katakwi.
