    Kuman new cabinet set to face the task ahead of them.

    Kaberamaido – The newly named and sworn in ministers of kumam cultural heritage have vowed to strengthen ties with other cultural institutions and central Government for the development of the kumam community.

    Carbinet ministers of Kuman Cultural heritage swear in after their appointment at Tedwils hotel Soroti.

    Following the list of candidates submitted for the positions of prime minister, Deputy prime Minister ana Deputy Minister to be vetted by the council of Elders as per the constitution of Etok me kumam Article 19.1 (a) (b) and article 21.1 and 21.2 of the constitution of the Etok me kumam.

    The council of Elders is provided for under section 16 of the institution of traditional or cultural Leaders Act 2011, section 16 (3) (a) whether or not the community of the kumam should have a traditional or cultural prime minister, Deputy prime minister, Ministers and Deputies for the kumam Cultural institution, generalized under article 246 of the constitution of the republic of Uganda.

    Accordingly, the council of Elders as established under article 26.1(a),(b),(c) and article 26.3 (a) iv of the constitution of the Etok me kumam.

    While unveiling the names after vetting, the chairperson council of Elders Mr. John Sylvester Edyangu said that the council of Elders vetted considering the requirements necessary for appointment into a ministerial office, the regional balance, competence of the candidates, a candidate’s interest in the kumam cultural institution and therefore recommended the following candidates successful for appointment by his Highness won Ateker me kumam papa me kumam to the cabinet ministries.

    The newly appointed prime minister Samuel Eyenga told this website that his cabinet now has a task of working with other sister institutions in Uganda for the development of kumam cultural Heritage and strengthening their relationship with the government of Uganda.

    “one of our key commitments is to build a strong relationship with other sister cultural institutions as well as consolidating our relationship with the government in order to achieve our key areas of interest”, he spoke.

    51 Minister’s and their deputies where vetted out of the 51 cabinet ministers while the appointed Minister of Health Dr.Peter Elyanu declined to take his appointment with a reason that he had many other commitments however he promised to work with the office of his Highness Raphael Otaya at other levels.
