    Maracha Vicariate Choirs Music Festival which started on Thursday 16-1-2025 and ended on Friday 17-1-2025 with participation of Choirs from 20 Chapels across Maracha District.

    The Chairperson for Maracha Vicariate Music Festival, Rev. Edami Geoffrey applauded the Choirs for the discipline exhibited and for being a staunch pillar in the church.

    “Worshiping the Almighty God through singing, is one of the ways to salvation”, he added while acknowledging the challenges Choirs and Churches face in organization of Choirs Music Festivals.

    Maracha District Woman MP Hon Driwaru Jennifer who is also a staunch Choir since Childhood, thanked the Choirs and she rallied for recognition and appreciation of Song leaders for each Chapel in the upcoming music festivals, because the Song leaders experience a lot of hardship in training and organizing the Choirs for Music Festivals.

    The woman MP used this opportunity to urge the Choirs to participate in the upcoming National Voters Register update by the Electoral Commission of Uganda ahead of the 2026 general elections.

    The parish priest for Offude Parish Rev. MSGR Dr. Cosmas Alule who doubles as the Chairperson for Lugbara speaking Vicariates advised the Choirs to maintain the discipline in order for them to progress.

    Upon completion of the two days Choirs Music Festival, certificates were awarded to all the 20 chapels who participated in the festival.

    The best three Chapels will be selected from this festival to go and participate in the inter Vicariate festival.
