On Sunday, November 10, 2024, a significant milestone was reached in Oyam South constituency as Tree of Life, a Christian organization from the United States, launched a borehole water project in Obete Village, Kamdini Town Council. This initiative aims to provide clean and sustainable water sources to local communities in partnership with the people of Oyam.
The project, which includes drilling new boreholes and repairing broken ones across the constituency, was made possible through the tireless lobbying efforts of Patrick Ogwang Obura, an MP aspirant for Oyam South.
Obura’s growing political influence and dedication to his community played a key role in securing the support of the Christian organization, showcasing his commitment to improving the lives of residents in the area.
Tree of Life’s collaboration with local leaders is expected to make a significant impact on the health and well-being of the community by ensuring access to safe drinking water.
Clean water is essential for better health, education, and economic development, and this project will benefit many families in Oyam South.
The borehole launch is just the beginning of a broader initiative aimed at addressing water scarcity in the region. As the project moves forward, local leaders and residents remain hopeful that this partnership will inspire further development and bring lasting improvements to the community.
