Kaberamaido District has become a hub of excitement as the 9th Edition of the National Technical, Vocational, and Farm Institutes Sports Association (NTEVOFASIA) Championship commenced at Kaberamaido Technical Institute. The one-week event, which began on Wednesday, saw the registration of 39 institutes from across the country. Day two of the event kicked off with athletics, with all participating institutes showcasing their talents in various track and field events.
According to the NTEVOFASIA General Secretary, Mr. Joel Mick Adomati, the organizers are expecting a total of 40 institutes to participate in this year’s championship. The event, which has become a key fixture on the national sports calendar for technical and vocational institutes, aims to promote sportsmanship, teamwork, and talent development among students. Mr. Adomati highlighted that Minakulo Technical Institute from Oyam District is among the eagerly awaited participants, especially as their football team is set to make its debut tomorrow.
As the championship progresses, more sports disciplines are expected to be showcased, including football, netball, and volleyball, with institutes from various districts vying for top honors. The event is not only a platform for competition but also an opportunity for students to network and exchange ideas on skills development, reinforcing the importance of sports in education. The host, Kaberamaido Technical Institute, has pulled out all the stops to ensure a successful and memorable championship for all participants.
