The Resident District Commissioner of Kaberamaido, Mr. Linos Lotem, has called for reconciliation among party members after the NRM primaries. He made the remarks while receiving Mr. Epilu Patrick, the Sub County Chairperson of Oriamo Sub County, who had defected from the Forum for Democratic Change (FDC) party to join NRM.
Mr. Lotem noted that divisions often arise after primaries, leading some candidates to join opposition parties. He emphasized the need for unity within the party. Mr. Ematu Hassan Alli Eloru, the District Chairperson of NRM, welcomed Mr. Epilu, stating that NRM is a refuge for those seeking development. He mentioned that the party had already gained two LCIs from Ochero who had crossed over during the registration process.
Mr. Epilu expressed his excitement about joining NRM, citing the party’s achievements in his sub-county. He highlighted several projects, including 100 road projects, a modern market worth 1 billion shillings, and the construction of Oriamo Seeds Secondary School worth 2.5 billion shillings. He also mentioned the Parish Development Projects, which have empowered women economically and changed the lives of the community. The party aims to achieve 95% support for the president in the upcoming elections.
